VOCALS RECORDED
We are more or less done with the vocals now. It's been a couple of painful sessions recording in Dan's (Nattsmyg) song-booth in some 30 C warmth. Still, some backing vocals and mouth-harps remain before we're completly done in that department. But all went well and we are really eager to let the world find out what we've done with these 10 songs. More than half of the songs now have guitars and bass on them and we should be finished soon. After that, it's upp to Daniel Gadd to nail the drums and then we're almost ready.

We've done some small updates on this site here and there. All of our lyrics are now translated and can be found here + that there are some new photos from the recording-session in the gallery.

...AND SO IT GOES ON AND ON...
Second part of the "Vitterland" recordings has been posted. All things are going smooth and as planned.

...AND SO IT BEGINS
We just wanted to let you all know that the recordings for "Vitterland" finally has begun. We started with recording guitars for the opening track and we have to say that it sounds damn good so far. Guitars and bass should be covered quite quickly and then we'll move on to drums, mouth-harp and vocals. In that order. We'll see how we will deal with the fact that we currently don't have a violin-player, but you shouldn't worry too much about that issue.

GRAPHIC UPDATES
This update is basicly just some minor graphic changes, but be sure to don't miss (and admire) our new official logo (the last one was just a temporary logo). Other updates includes a contact form, if you are wondering anything or you're interested in doing an interview with us.
Regarding the new record, we will meet this weekend and go through all 10 songs a bit more in-depth, to see if something needs to be added or removed, before starting the actual recording process.

FINALLY A NEW WEBSITE!
Today, we in Skald finally open our brand new website with a whole new adress; www.skald.se - be sure to remember it.
In other news, we are almost seeing the light at the end of the tunnel regarding the upcoming full-length. All 10 songs are now completely written and arranged. The final recordings will soon start and we truly feel positive and excited about the new songs we’ve done. A cover is currently being painted for the record which will be entitled “Vitterland” (”Witherland”) which we feel is a good collective name for the 10 hymns of nordic folkmetal we’ve conjured.
Expect a better sound quality, a drummer of flesh and blood, dreamy female vocals, folkish violins, better vocal-performances and heavier, faster and slower guitars than ever before.
